Mittwochskonzert… Ein Format, mit dem ihr euch im Mai leider anfreunden müsst!
SO BEAST is a mixed origin duo project based in Bologna ITA, founded by Michele Quadri and Katarina Poklepovic in may 2014. Through musical research we like to explore the territory between experimental, contemporary music and postpunk, industrial with elements of electronic music with improvisation attitude in live performance. The instruments we use are: piano, electric guitar, voice, percussions, drum machines, objects, bass, synth, sax, live electronics.



So Beast - Nokturno (Silence For Neighbourhood)

Bartolomei has developed his personal language after a first period of noisey experimentations. In his musical output he tries to explore the hidden possibilities of the interaction between strings and circuits. With „Remote“, a collaborative work with Emanuele Magni, he started to move in the realms of deep meditative music. His second effort goes further in this direction. It’s a 40 minutes-long composition divided in two movements, I & II. Guitar is the main source of sound and it becomes almost unrecognizable due to the massive sonic treatment of analog effects: dream-like reverberations, delays and endless loops are bent into an highly hypnotic continuous flux. Circular patterns of long delicate drones are slowly overdriven and prelude to a more rhythmic guitar work that evolves since the beginning of the second part. Ethereal and liquid vibrations slip, back and forth, melting into an ocean of shifting multylayered sounds. „Panthalssa“ could be seen as a voyage into the depths of the ancient ocean that surrounded the unified lands, a dive in the cosmic womb at the beginning of time.

SLAMBÜHNE UNPLUGGED!
Als direkten Hochwasser-Folgeschaden gibt’s heute Abend immer NOCH KEINEN STROM im Waggon!!!
Da die Herren und Damen Poeten, die heute Abend auftreten sollen, ihre Texte aber eh ohne Mikrofon vortragen wollen, machen wir einfach einen ROMANTISCHEN LITERATURABEND bei Kerzenlicht, LED-Leuchten, Taschenlampen und… ja, nun… – warmem Bier!
Alles neue macht der Mai! Es wird wieder poetisch im beschaulichen Offenbach, mit den Vögelein um die Wette werden für euch einige Poet*innen aus dem Rhein/Main-Gebiet ihre Kunst herauszwitschern. Mit dabei sind bisher: Dimitri Idessis aus FFM, Michelle Wizzo aus Hanau und Artem Zolotarov – aus Mainz. Durch den Abend führt wieder der bekannte Poet und Prahlhans Martin Weyrauch.
Einlass ca. 21:00 – Beginn ca. 21:30!

Donnerstag, 4.5.2017 – Fällt aus: NEOME (D)


ACHTUNG: Heute Mittag hat sie begonnen, die Hochwasser-Saison am Ort mit der unfähigsten Kanalisation in ganz Offenbach. Die Folge: unser Lager steht wieder unter Wasser, es gibt keinen Strom im Waggon – und wir müssen das Konzert mit NEOME, das für heute Abend geplant war, schweren Herzens absagen!

Donnerstag, 4. Mai 2017 fällt aus: NEOME (D)

Neome kommen aus Mainz und Frankfurt und spielen melancholischen Indiepop. Der Sound der noch jungen Band ist geprägt durch den markanten zweistimmigen Gesang von Sängerin und Violinistin Linda und Keyboarder Adi. Hierbei treffen sich eingängige Melodien mit gefühlvoll verträumten persönlichen Texten. Klassische Popstrukturen werden durch Ideen jenseits des vorausschaubaren unterbrochen und wechseln sich mit atmosphärischen Stücken ab, die insgesamt eine intensive und intime Konzertstimmung erzeugen.

SHOT IN A CONTINENTAL

Endlich mal wieder ein Metal/Hardcore-Abend im Waggon! Leider dienstags, aber was willst du tun?
SHOT IN A CONTINENTAL ist eine Metalband aus Leipzig, deren Mitglieder durch verschiedene Stile von Hardcore über Stoner bis hin zu progressive Metal geprägt wurden. Ihr gemeinsamer Antrieb ist es etwas Neues zu schaffen! THE HEART’S INTENT aus Herrnhut ist eine Melodic Hardcore Band mit Mitgliedern aus 5 verschiedenen Nationen (Kanada, USA, Australien, Tschechische Republik und Deutschland). „We don’t care what you believe and have no intention on telling you if you’re wrong or right. But we believe in a God of hope and love. Our faith has been a driving force in the music that we have been writing.“
